High School

High school students at Hillcrest Christian School are encouraged to develop intellectual curiosity, self-sufficiency, honor, and a love of learning. HCS offers a curriculum that meets or exceeds all major university admission standards. Our traditional college prep classes are enhanced by Advanced and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which are designed to meet the needs of academically talented and motivated students who desire to maximize their potential by pursuing the most challenging course of study available.  Advanced placement students may earn many of their freshman college credits while attending HCS; dual credit classes are also offered to give even more students the ability to jump-start their college careers.  To qualify for advanced courses, students are expected to meet the following criteria:

  • Be recommended by their teacher from the previous year in that subject area on the basis of performance, writing skills, and behavior.
  • Have at least a “90” academic average and score at the 90th percentile or higher on achievement tests in that subject area

As well as college prep, HCS also offers Agriculture Education and dual credit Career and Technical courses.
