Band Back at It

The One Spirit, One Sound Band completed a week of camp at Hinds Community College, and began to put together their field show — “Light” — for the 2016 football season.  Pictured here are senior band members officially welcoming new director, Joshua Landrum, into the OSOS family.

Cheerleaders Conquer Camp

The 2016-2017 HCS Varsity Cheerleading squad attended camp in Destin, Florida, and earned numerous honors, including Overall Superior Squad, 2nd-place in Extreme Routine, 3rd-place in Sideline Cheer, and 3rd-place in Game Day.  Congratulations, ladies and Coach Williams! Your hard work paid off!!

Summer Reading (Upper School)

Tests on assigned novels for summer reading will be given in each student’s English class on Monday, August 15 (and on Monday, August 22, if two novels are required), after school resumes on August 8, 2016.  ALL students – returning and new – are required to complete summer reading.
