ADMISSION AND TESTING PROCESS

 

K3 and K4

  • Half- Day program
  • Contact lower school office to schedule a tour of the school.
  • Contact lower school office to schedule an interview with custodial parents and lower school principal.
  • Admissions Committee considers enrollment request.
  • Lower school counselor notifies parents of Admissions Committee's decision.
  • Contact Business Office to complete enrollment process.

K5-12

  • Contact appropriate school counselor to schedule a tour of the school.
  • Contact appropriate school counselor to schedule entrance testing/evaluation.
  • On the day of testing, the following documents should be provided to the counselor:
  • Completed New Student Testing Information Form provided by counselor
  • Official copy of most recent report card or any other materials requested
  • Admissions Committee considers enrollment request.
  • School counselor notifies parents of Admissions Committee's decision.
  • Contact Business Office to complete enrollment process.

Criteria for Admission to Hillcrest Christian School

  • Student applicant shall pass the admissions test administered by designated school official.
  • Student applicant shall receive an acceptable behavior recommendation from schools previously attended.
  • According to state law, students entering 1st grade must be six (6) years old by September 1st.
  • Student must be approved and admitted by the Admissions Committee.

 

Upon acceptance by the Admissions Committee, the following documents must be provided in order for the admissions process to be completed:

  • Current Mississippi immunization form
  • Photocopy of birth certificate
  • Photocopy of Social Security Card
  • Official photocopy of transcript (grades 6th – 12th only)

 

Class assignments and schedules will be finalized when all required documentation has been received.  The official cumulative record will be requested by the school counselor at the conclusion of the admissions process.
